We are running two workshops on the 26th and 27th October, in Punakaiki on the West Coast.

Cost: $350 per person.

handcraft an organic style ring Simple

1 day – $350

Design and craft a unique organic-style silver ring in this engaging session. You will start by creating a wax model of your design, then use assisted sand casting to transform it into a beautifully crafted silver ring. There is a lot to cover in one day in this course so the piece you create will be simplistic in form to allow you to complete the project.

Perfect for groups of up to 6 seeking a memorable experience.

  • 10 am to 5 pm.
    7 hours over one day.

    • $350 includes 8 grams of sterling silver and all consumables.

    • Refreshments.

    • Extra metals available for purchase.

    • The class requires a minimum of 2 participants to proceed and is limited to 6 for a personalised experience. If the minimum number is not reached, we will provide 48 hours' notice and issue a full refund.

    • The class is not close to shops or cafes so please bring your lunch.

handcraft an organic style ring intensive

2 dayS– $690

Design and craft a unique organic-style silver ring in this extended workshop. Guided by Fiona, you'll start by creating a wax model of your design, then use sand casting to transform it into a beautifully crafted silver ring. There is more time in this class to create a more detailed work and execute all the steps involved.

Perfect for couples designing custom engagement or wedding rings, or groups of up to 6 seeking a memorable experience.


  • Up to 15 hours over two days.

    • $690 includes 8 grams of sterling silver and all consumables.

    • Refreshments.

    • Extra metals and/or stones may be available for purchase.

    • The class requires a minimum of 2 participants to proceed and is limited to 6 for a personalised experience.

Stacking rings

4 hours - $220

Craft up to five silver stacking rings from scratch. Ideal for jewellery enthusiasts and beginners, this experience provides step-by-step guidance.

In this class, you'll design and create up to five textured stacking rings, using a combination of metals such as silver, copper and brass. You will begin to learn some essential jewellery-making skills. The number of rings you will make will be dependant upon variable factors like how complicated your rings are and time available.

Perfect for small groups of 4 to 6.

  • 4 hours.

    • $220 includes 5 grams of sterling silver and all consumables

    • Refreshments.

    • Extra metals and/or stones may be available for purchase.

    • This class is flexible and we can design it to your needs.

    • The class requires a minimum of 2 participants to proceed and is limited to 6 for a personalised experience.

3 to 6 hours - $200-$350

Begin your journey on a local beach where Fiona will guide you in searching for a stone or stones that resonate with you. Select a treasure from the sand and then return to the studio where we will help you transform it into a beautiful, wearable piece of jewellery. Learn about local ecology thanks to Fiona’s three decades living on the coast and her passion for protecting the Kororā or little blue penguin.

You might even be fortunate enough to discover a piece of pounamu (greenstone), adding a special touch of New Zealand’s natural beauty to your creation. Whether you're crafting a pendant, ring, or another piece, this workshop combines the natural charm of beachcombing with the artistry of jewellery design. 

Ideal for individuals, couples, groups of 4-6, and children aged 12 and over.

  • 3 to 6 hours.

    • $200 includes 5 grams of sterling silver, all consumables.

    • Refreshments.

    • Extra metals available for purchase.

    • The class can be tailored for an individual, couples, groups and is limited to 6 for a hands-on experience. Requires a minimum of 2 people to run. The price can be adjusted to cater for one person.
