Huia pendant
Our lovely Huia gone from this world, the last confirmed sighting in 1907. This cameo is of yet another of the planet’s sacred species that have sadly disappeared from our world.
Huia were captured both for their feathers and their prized and unusual beaks.
Etched by hand into sterling silver, then cast using the lost wax process. This piece is then given an inlay of 24 carat gold using the delicate process known as Keum Boo.
